1st Monday Made It

It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks!! Between being on vacation with my family, deciding to start this blog, and then going to the TpT conference in Las Vegas last weekend, I finally had a moment to sit down and actually LOOK at all the awesome ideas I’ve been collecting over the past year!! The conference was amazing, motivating, inspiring; I can’t say enough about it!! I met SO many like-minded teachers (from all over the US & several other countries!!) and loved seeing the range of ages, experiences, and expertise!! One of the important points I came away with was the importance of social media. So. . . my 1st Monday Made It!
My blog!! Just launched it last week!! Whoo hoo!! I’m soooo excited!! A million thanks to Designs by Kassie for the BEAUTIFUL blog design!! She knew what I wanted, even when I wasn’t sure!! I plan to participate in book reviews (have a couple partially written) & upcoming link parties (as I’m SLOWLY learning how!!), and I have many great posts planned as we get closer to school starting again!! Please visit often!!
My Pinterest board covers!! Thanks to Kristen at Ladybug’s Teacher Files I redid my board covers & I LOVE them!! I wish I had taken a “before” picture because there was no rhyme or reason to them; they were a mess!! But now I feel happy when I open them up!! Next I’m redoing my product pins based on some great tips I learned at the TpT conference!!

This next Made It is totally not teaching-related, but this morning as we were packing for my youngest daughter to go away to Girl Scout sleep away camp tomorrow, we realized her jeans were too small (she hadn’t worn them since last year’s camp since she hates pants!!!) Off we went to buy a couple new pairs, but they were too long. So my Made-It was hemming them to fit before she leaves on a bus tomorrow!!
Next week I’ll actually have made something for school!
