Time for December's Loved That Lesson! This is a quick & short one (but one that my kids never tire of playing)! It's a review game for multi-digit multiplication and can be differentiated for various needs of your students.
Equipment: playing cards (remove 10s and face cards), score card, pencil
Directions: Each player takes 3-5 cards. Set up the cards to make a multiplication problem (3-digits x 1 or 2-digits). Check your partner’s work. Highest product gets the point for the inning. Place cards at the bottom of the deck. Draw again for next inning.

It's a big hit with my kids! And I especially love that students can practice with 2-digit x 1-digit or higher problems, as needed! Thanks for sharing, Heidi!
DeleteFabulous actiivty!!! So engaging and fun. I love when a lesson incorporates student interaction!
ReplyDeleteMy students don't even mind practicing long multiplication problems when they think it's a game! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThanks so much for linking up! I love activities that kids can do to practice their precision and fluency--while feeling like they are "playing"!
