I'm so happy to find another teacher who loves Bad Wolf Press as much as I do! Now the majority of teachers at my school put on at least 1 of their plays per year!! the parents love it! I hold auditions before Memorial Day, then spend June teaching the songs, some acting 101, and rehearsing. We do several performances the last week of school. Most of our upper grade teachers do the same, so we spend that last week of school going to each other's shows. I had the privilege of meeting Ron Fink before he passed. I needed to get a CD of Gold Dust or Bust (my music was on cassette). He invited me over to the house and replaced it for free. I felt like I was meeting a rock star! In retrospect, I regret never inviting him to my class to see a show. I could go on and on about what their shows do for kids....Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01426834609465307647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555398876574874154.post-18973879300301808532015-04-08T16:36:20.687-07:002015-04-08T16:36:20.687-07:00Thanks for hosting, Jasmine; I learned SO many new...Thanks for hosting, Jasmine; I learned SO many new ideas!! Bad Wolf does sound like a great resource for me! I usually get non-musical plays from http://monthbymonth.scholastic.com/index.html under their plays and poems link. This month they have an earth day and a butterfly play.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05135934685709532065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555398876574874154.post-74739412091540565012015-04-05T14:24:39.105-07:002015-04-05T14:24:39.105-07:00Hi Suzanne! She didn't worry about costumes; she just hung signs around the kids' necks, naming which character they were. And to make it less stressful also, she played the vocal soundtrack so the kids had back-up voices singing along with them. It was terrific!Kathie @Tried and True Teaching Toolshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11215427237821500274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555398876574874154.post-73329758930770613122015-04-05T14:22:57.267-07:002015-04-05T14:22:57.267-07:00Yes!!
